Spindependence Day isn’t just a festival — it’s a community-built celebration of dance music, summer, and the Twin Ports scene. We’re looking for energetic, reliable people to help us pull off an unforgettable day on July 4, 2026 at Earth Rider Brewery in Superior, WI.
Whether you’re a student looking to get hands-on event experience, a music lover who wants to be on the inside of a major show, or just someone who loves the vibe and wants to give back — we’ve got a spot for you.
What You Get
Volunteer one shift. Get all of this:

Pick Your Shift
We’ve got five shift options designed around different schedules and vibes. Pick what works for you:
🛠️ Pre-Party Setup — Friday, July 3
The crew that makes the festival possible before doors ever open. Load-in, signage, equipment staging, site prep. Best for folks who like working with their hands and want a behind-the-scenes look at how a festival comes together. Physical work — must be able to lift 50 lbs.
🌅 Shift 1: Early Bird — Saturday, 8 AM–3 PM
Get in early, get your work done, and enjoy the entire rest of the festival as a guest. You’ll be helping us open the gates, set up stations, and welcome the first wave of attendees. Perfect if you want to see the headliners stress-free.
☀️ Shift 2: Mid-Day — Saturday, 1 PM–8 PM
Sleep in, work the busy heart of the festival, and stick around to catch the closing acts off the clock. You’ll be in the action when the energy peaks. Great for the social butterflies who want to be where it’s happening.
🌙 Shift 3: Closer — Saturday, 6 PM–Close (~11:30 PM)
The home stretch crew. You’ll catch the biggest names of the night while you work and help us close out the festival the right way. Comes with enhanced perks including after-party admission and bonus drink tickets. Ideal for night owls who want to ride the wave to the finish line.
🎉 After-Party Crew — Saturday, late night
Help us run the after-party once the main event wraps. The vibe is looser, the crowd is the die-hards, and the perks are stacked. For the ones who don’t want the night to end.

We have a wide range of roles depending on your skills, interests, and availability:

- ID check & wristband distribution (21+ required)
- Info booth & wayfinding
- Lost & found
Keeping things running
- Water station attendants
- Setup & teardown crew
- General floaters (for wherever the day takes us)
- Hospitality runners (food & drinks for artists and crew)
Behind the scenes with the artists
- Green room support
- DJ hospitality
- Artist transportation (must have valid license + reliable vehicle)
- Backline coordinator assistant
Capturing the moment
- Photo & video capture
- Social media content creation
Selling the swag
- Merch booth

Internships Available 🎓
Are you a student at UMD, UW-Superior, Lake Superior College, or St. Scholastica? We’re partnering with local programs to offer paid internship opportunities and academic credit for select roles. Indicate your interest on the signup form and we’ll be in touch.
